“Discipline, consistency, and patience. If you lack these, you won’t grow.”
– James Clear, American author
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our journey: the launch of our refreshed brand identity and a bold new vision for the future of Care City Media.
To our readers, partners, sponsors, contributors, and community members: thank you for being part of this remarkable journey!
What started as a simple Facebook page—one that many of you still follow today—grew into a modest free WordPress website driven by a passion for healthcare storytelling, education, and innovation. Today, here we are, charting new territories and building a bolder vision for our future.
Over the years, our passion has evolved into something much bigger (and sometimes even intimidating).
Care City Media is evolving into a healthcare media and brand intelligence company dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare in Africa through digital media.
This transformation reflects not just who we are today, but where we are headed.
“If you dream small dreams, you may succeed in building something small. For many people, that is enough. But if you want to achieve widespread impact and lasting value, be bold.”
Media shapes how people learn, connect, make decisions, and engage with the world. Yet within healthcare, particularly in Africa, we recognised a significant gap.
While healthcare innovation continues to accelerate across the continent, there remains a shortage of strong media infrastructure dedicated to amplifying healthcare stories, supporting healthcare brands, translating complex ideas, and connecting innovators with the audiences they serve.
We saw an opportunity to build something different.
Not just another publication.
But a healthcare media platform and ecosystem designed to inform, educate, inspire, and empower healthcare professionals, innovators, entrepreneurs, organisations, and communities across Africa.
We often describe our work as building “media engines” for healthcare—systems that empower healthcare brands and entrepreneurs to communicate more effectively, grow stronger, and achieve greater impact while also providing healthcare professionals with the inspiration to do more, the insights to innovate, the leadership intelligence to stand out, and science-backed information for the general public.
“The keys to brand success are self-definition, transparency, authenticity and accountability.”
– Simon Mainwaring: Founder/CEO of We First
Beyond Publishing: Building Healthcare Brands
As part of our next phase, we are expanding beyond traditional publishing into healthcare-focused media and brand services.
Through our Brand Studio, we now work directly with healthcare organisations, startups, NGOs, institutions, innovators and entrepreneurs looking to strengthen their visibility, credibility, and influence.
Our services will include:
Brand strategy and positioning
Content development and thought leadership
Website and digital platform management
Media and communications support
Editorial and publication services
Campaign development and storytelling
Healthcare-focused marketing and media solutions
Our focus remains clear: healthcare!
By specialising in one sector, we can better understand its challenges, opportunities, audiences, and unique communication needs.
We believe the media is not simply a communication tool. It is an enabler of innovation, trust, education, advocacy, and transformation.
What Comes Next?
While our publication remains at the heart of what we do, the future of Care City Media extends far beyond articles and reports.
In the months and years ahead, we will continue investing in:
Original journalism
Research-driven storytelling
Healthcare innovation coverage
Events and conferences
Multimedia productions and documentaries
Community engagement initiatives
Educational programmes and learning experiences
Strategic partnerships across Africa and beyond
Our goal is simple: to become one of Africa’s most trusted healthcare media brands and a leading platform for healthcare intelligence, innovation, leadership, and impact.
A New Website. A New Identity
A New Website. More Than Just A New Identity
Our redesigned website and refreshed visual identity reflect this next chapter.
Every element—from our logo to our digital experience—has been thoughtfully redesigned to align with our vision, values, and future ambitions.
In the coming weeks, we will publish a deeper look into our new brand identity, sharing the story, thinking, and meaning behind the changes.
We invite you to explore the new website and experience this evolution with us.
Most importantly, we want to hear from you.
What do you love?
What can we improve?
What stories, topics, and initiatives would you like to see more of?
Your feedback will help shape the future of Care City Media.
As we grow, we are actively building partnerships with healthcare organisations, innovators, institutions, and brands across Africa and around the world.
We welcome opportunities for:
Content and editorial partnerships
Strategic service partnerships
Brand and campaign collaborations

Join Our Growing Team
We are also expanding our team and looking for passionate individuals who share our vision for the future of healthcare in Africa.
This rebrand is more than a new logo or a new website.
It represents a renewed commitment to our mission, a broader vision for our future, and a deeper belief in the power of media to transform healthcare across Africa.
The journey is only beginning.
And we are excited to build the future together.
