Luke Barasa is a Healthcare Strategist, Innovation Leader, and accomplished Entrepreneur with a strong track record of scaling health solutions that transform care delivery across Africa.

He combines deep operational expertise with a passion for digital health and sustainable business models—making him a key voice in Africa’s healthcare entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Currently serving as the Head of Country Operations at Zipline, Luke leads national-scale programs that use cutting-edge drone technology to improve access to essential medical supplies.

As the Principal Consultant at SYN Sigma Consulting, he works at the intersection of innovation and impact—guiding health startups, development partners, and public sector actors in integrating digital tools, expanding market access, and strengthening health systems in resource-constrained settings. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and Technology, a Master’s in Public Health, and ongoing MBA studies, Luke brings a unique blend of clinical, public health, and business acumen.

He is also a Faculty Fellow at Innovate Health Africa, where he mentors emerging innovators on commercializing healthcare solutions, shaping sustainable ventures, and navigating the challenges of Africa’s complex health landscape.
